Content Description Countersigned by John Lawrence, the Treasurer of Connecticut. Co-signed by Oliver Ellsworth, a member of the Pay table Committee, that was responsible for paying the Revolutionary bills of Connecticut. Receipt requesting Lawrence to pay Captain Eliphalet Bulkeley, paymaster of a company, 50 pounds charged to the Colony of Connecticut. Autograph note, signed by Bulkely, says he received the payment on 2 July 1776. Autograph note, in Seymour's hand, signed by Bulkeley on verso, says he received the payment on 2 July 1776. Autograph document signed, by J. Treadwell, below docket says that the payment was audited on 1 September 1777.
