Content Description Colonel Carrington, on behalf of QMG Colonel Thomas Pickering, acknowledges the receipt of four horses from General Henry Knox which were furnished by the Governor of Maryland Thomas S. Lee. The Continental Army began to invest the British works for the siege of Yorktown on 28 September 1781. Signed in duplicate.
