Content Description Informs Duncan Campbell that the bills for 700 pounds that he was so concerned about have been brought in from the rebels by a friend who was also a prisoner. States that being a prisoner has gotten the better of him but the Commander in Chief has intimated to him that he may be able to purchase a recently vacated commission of Major. Thanks his father for the money and says he has saved 400 pounds and expects to be able to pay him back in less than two years. Pat Campbell was a soldier in the British army.
