Content Description Written and signed for Knox by Samuel Shaw, Knox's aide-de-camp. Copy of a receipt for the disposal of 100 suits of clothing to the corps of artillery at Middlebrook, New Jersey on 2 July 1777. The clothing was sent from Philadelphia. The suits included coats, vests, breeches, stockings, shoes, and hats. The suits were issued to the companies of Captains Bauman, Doughty, Drury, Lillie, and Wool.
