Certifies that the men of Simsbury have received from Captain Jonathan Humphrey wages, bounty, and mileage for an expedition to Providence, Rhode Island October 1777 under Colonel Samuel McClellan's regiment. Page two is also signed by some of the same men, stating that they have received six shillings from Colonel Noah Phelps as bounty or premium for the same expedition.
