The next two issue General Richard Montgomery, commander of American forces in Canada, additional money. Montgomery was killed in an unsuccessful attack on Quebec in late December 1775. Possibly created circa 1783, in the context of Henry Knox's application for additional pay due as commander of a separate department. |
