Content Description | Document signed by "E Brabazon, Major of Brigade." Names of the 64 former prisoners of the ship "Robert" who were paroled at Portsmouth & Norfolk. Full names are given for all prisoners, except for two "Blacks" who are listed as "Titus" and "Tom." Marked at margin "Seamen Lately taken." Date from docket. According to the seller's description in the collateral file this list comes from the personal papers of General George Weedon, who commanded a brigade of troops in Virginia 1780-1781. |
