Jones, commander of an expedition to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, informs Hacker (also on the expedition) that the Alfred will proceed to "the Spanish River near Cape North on the Island of Cape Briton." Informs Hacker, Captain of the Providence, of signals to use for identifying one another in heavy fog. Requests that the Alfred and Providence sail close together. Docket indicates that this letter is a copy. |
