Content Description Winslow tells Knox of the difficult time he had surveying Penobscot due to difficult woodland and stormy weather. Winslow is trying to secure payment from buyers, "Messrs Merril and Brackett," who are awaiting a survey of the area. The don't want to make a payment until they have a deed.
