Additional Information | Date and location inferred from a letter sent from William North to the War Department, 25 July 1786 (GLC02437.03286). In the letter, North references a speech given by a Chippewa chief, presumably this speech. Pemberton then forwarded this speech, along with North's letter and two other documents, to Congress 15 August 1786. |
