Transcript	Show/hide San Felipe Oct 2 1835 The volunteers from Columbia &c. about one hundred in number have marched to James Kerns on La Baca where I expect there will be a force of 150 men embodied by tonight. The movement was made in consequence of the circular of this committee of 19th & 21st- I have dispatched an express to Kerns informing them of the State of things at Gonzalez up to last account. The two parties now embodied at Kerns and Gonzalez ought to communicate with each other, by express, and give full information to each other of every [inserted: thing] so as to combine their movements and act in concert. I expect a large company from Harrisburg and Trinity, and so soon as they come on, and I can hear certain information from the scene of operations, I will go on to Gonzalez myself- I think that Bexar must be cleared of the enemy before the present campaign closes- I expect five hundred men from [inserted: the] Nacogdoches country- Yours respectfully S.F.
