Content Description | Engraving from the original painting by Chappel. Depicts the surrender of Col. Rall at the Battle of Trenton to George Washington and his troops. Rall can be seen clutching a wound that would later prove fatal. The defeat for Rall and his troops has since been blamed in history on successive Christmas drinking. |
