Content Description | Written at home, Friday night. Took the car to work because Mad (sister) was able to get gasoline for 50 cents a gallon after waiting in line for an hour. Had three emergencies in Intake. Has arranged to buy 400 tickets from the Paramount at 38 cents a piece to resell for 55 cents a piece to raise funds for the Union. Reports on his family. Went to see her mother, who wasn't home. The neighbors offered her a drink "but she is still on the wagon" even though her condition is gone. Talks about remembering him in civilian clothes. |
