Content Description | Says a letter of recommendation was requested by Madame Gregoire, who has claims to present to the General Court in Massachusetts. Thought the best way to help her was to introduce her to Knox "who can better than Any Body Advise Her How to act, and give Her Accounts of the frontier where she says she has some property." The docket says Gregoire was the claimant of Mount Desert Island in the District of Maine. |
