Content Description | Asks Knox if he will help his friend Stephen Chase, a law student, who is publishing an edition of Sullivan's Lectures on the Feudal Law. Wait wonders if he could help Chase in "procuring a few great names," such as President [John] Adams and Governor [Caleb] Strong, in addition to Knox himself (perhaps for interviews for the book). Adds that Wait and a Mr. Hopkins are publishing the book with Chase, and if it is successful, there may be more books to be published, and Wait will be able to overcome financial hardship. |
