Content Description Patten, Captain of a company of artificers, requests to receive the same pay as officers of the artillery. Complains that the men belonging to his company are from different states, "and have had their depreciation [in pay] made up to them from the several states to whitch they belong, and not upon equal establishment..." Lists the amounts paid by several states. Requests extra pay and a horse for his service as paymaster and clothier for the company.
