Additional Information Timothy Pickering (1745-1829), who later served as Secretary of War and Secretary of State, was then an adjutant general in the Continental Army and a member of Board of War in 1777. Lieutenant Colonel Richard Campbell (1755-1844) of the 13th Virginia was stationed at Fort Pitt in 1778.
