Content Description Trumbull, Governor of Connecticut, states "Mr. Isaac Gleason of Farmington, came from thence hither an Express to bring me a Packet from Genl Putnam please to settle with him for this service according to usual Custom- and draw on the Treasurer for payment- & charge the United States for the Same- as the business is Continental." Trumbull was possibly referring to General Israel Putnam. For Gleason's receipt, refer to GLC01450.609.11.
