Lists documents and prices which the Republican Association will furnish upon request. Clephane was Secretary of the Association, and Benjamin Wade was Chairman. |

Additional Information | According to Library of Congress, Lewis Clephane was an early organizer of the Republican Party and its first national convention in 1856. He served as postmaster of Washington, D.C. 1861-1863, receiver of Washington and Alexandria Railroad 1869-1871, Washington, D.C. collector of internal revenue 1863-1873 and of taxes 1873-1874. Wade was a United States Senator from Ohio 1851-1866. |
