Content Description The order for them to return home has been countermanded and he does not know when he will be able to leave. It is possible that they will be mustered into the U.S. service. The soldiers are keeping themselves busy in camp by making rings out of mussel shells. They also receive news that the order to pay them has been countermanded, at which he is very angry. Includes a sketch of a soldier washing clothes.
