Says that he will remain in the area until the following Wednesday or Thursday, and, "During that period it shall be my object to ascertain... every thing respecting the character, integrity, punctuality and general circumstances of Mr. G[reen]." William cautions his brother to proceed with caution in his financial dealings with Green, advising him to do business with Green "as if he was a perfect stranger."
