Asks Knox to attend to the accompanying letters, which outline confrontations between General [Arthur] St. Clair and Indians in the frontier, specifically in Kentucky. Wishes he had more information about the Indian towns. Would like information on how the government will protect the frontier region in during the upcoming season. Asks about the possibility of hiring some Chickasaw Indians to work within the army for upcoming campaigns. |
